چکیده

Agent mobility presents distinct challenges not handled by traditional, distributed, communication frameworks. By nature, mobile agents change location over time, making targeted messaging difficult to achieve. Also, a communication infrastructure must handle the case that the agent may be migrating when the message is sent. We have implemented a Distributed Event Messaging System (DEMS) that satisfies the communication requirements unique to mobile agents. This infrastructure has enabled efficient control and monitoring of our mobile agents and has facilitated mobile agent collaboration and coordination.

Awareness and Agility for Autonomic Distributed Systems: Platform-Independent Publish-Subscribe Event-Based Communication for Mobile Agents

We propose using the publish-subscribe model to complement proprietary or standard agent communication languages, useful particularly in the case of exchanging and disseminating short communications about events and consequently, reducing complexity of multi-agent messaging. We describe how we implemented the event notification mechanism for mobile agents, and analyse experiments that demonstra...

Awareness and Agility for Autonomic Distributed Systems: Platform-Independent Publish-Subscribe Event-Based Communication with Mobile Agents

Mobile agent communication in multi-agent communities where agents come from different heterogeneous toolkits and platforms is still very much a research challenge. We propose to use the publishsubscribe model as complementary (and sometimes alternative) to proprietary or standard agent communication languages, useful particularly in the case of exchanging and disseminating short communications...

Agent Communication Using Publish-Subscribe Genre: Architecture, Mobility, Scalability and Applications

Mobile agent communication in multi-agent communities is still very much a research challenge. We analyze and discuss the suitability of current technologies for interconnecting heterogeneous agent platforms and multi-agent systems and propose a publish-subscribe, or in other words, event notification mechanism as an efficient and effective complementary solution to software mobile agent commun...

Many Aspects of Reliabilities in a Distributed Mobile Messaging Middleware over JMS

Pronto[19] is a middleware system for mobile applications with JMS messaging as a basis in both centralized and decentralized forms. Asynchronous messaging is essential to support reliable communication with mobile devices. An intelligent gateway and smart caching in Pronto support the construction of distributed messaging systems over JMS servers. The main aim of Pronto is to support a reliabl...

A Secure Communication Framework for Mobile Agents

Communication, a fundamental concept in computing, allows two pieces of software to interact and to exchange information. It is an important aspect of mobile agent systems because mobile agents generally need to coordinate their activities through some type of communication. Using mobile agent technologies provides potential benefits to distributed applications; however, an agent’s ability to m...
